I've been snowboarding for nearly 40 years, with many different conventional bindings. This is my first season riding SP Fastec Core bindings. I am extremely happy with them. They're far more solid and responsive than I had ever expected.
I'll never go back to sitting in the snow, to strap in. And, I've seen too many failures of step-ons & boot flaws, to go that direction.

The best

Snowboard bindings take up too much of the board’s waist. If this can be improved, it would be fantastic.

Strap broke on day 20

I have had a great time riding these this year. 3 run of the day yesterday when I got off of the lift the toe strap had just snapped off. I'm in much need of a replacement.

Opinion after 6 years

Been riding SPs for the last 6 years and they're amazing bindings. Super responsive at the top end of the models available. Would definitely recommend shelling out for the Core and above (alu frames) the plastic frames are a bit fragile if you're riding hard all day but the aluminium frames can take a beating!

It’s extremely lightweight and compact—which is a big advantage for carving turns—and it has all the features I was looking for, including easy adjustability. I haven’t fully evaluated its durability yet since I haven’t used it long enough, but so far I’m very satisfied.
